روٹھوں کو منانا باقی ہے

کچھ کام بھی اور ضروری ہے
خواہش جو گھٹ گئی دل میں
اُس کو دفنانا باقی ہے

کچھ رشتے بن کر ٹوٹ گئے
کچھ جڑتے جڑتے چھوٹ گئے
اُن ٹوٹے چھوٹے رشتوں کے
زخموں کو مٹانا باقی ہے

کیا چھوڑ تجھے جی پاؤں گا
ان سانسوں پر حق ہے جن کا

कुछ रिश्ते बन कर टूट गए
कुछ जुड़ते जुड़ते छूट गए
उन टूटे छूटे रिश्तों के
ज़ख्मों को मिटाना बाक़ी है

O life move/pass a little gently. There still remain a few debts to repay, a few hurts to cure and a few obligations to fulfil.

rooThoN ko manaana baaqi hai
rotoN ko haNsaana baaqi hai 1.speed, rapidly
With the speed at which you go, a few friends were left behind, a few offended. I have to make amends to those offended, cheer up those saddened.

Some yearnings still unfulfilled, important tasks still not done. The desire that died, choked inside, still to be buried.

Some friendships made and broken, some relations left half joined – the wounds of those broken and unfinished relations have to be wiped clean.
