دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں  ۔  پنڈت  آنند  نرائن  مُلّاؔ

سنہرے  خِرمنوں  کا  رنگِ  پنہاں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

ہر  اِک  دانے  میں  خونِ  گرمِ  دہقاں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

محبّت  کو  جہاں  دل  کا  نگہباں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

وہاں  گنجائشِ  تخمیرِ  اِنساں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

جُڑی  ہے  خون  سے  اِک  ایک  اینٹ  اِس  کی

لرز  اُٹھتا  ہوں  میں  جب  کوئی  ایواں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

کسی  شوریدہ  سر  کی  شکل  پھر  جاتی  ہے  آنکھوں  میں

جہاں  میں  روزنِ  دیوارِ  زنداں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

غمِ  اِمروز  میں  بھی  راحتِ  فردا  پہ  نظریں  ہیں

اُنھیں  اشکوں  کے  قطروں  میں  چراغاں  دیکھ  لیتا  ہوں

देख लेता हूं – पंडित आनंद नरायन मुल्ला

सुनहरे ख़िर्मनौं का रंग-ए पिन्हां देख लेता हूं

हर एक दाने में ख़ून-ए गर्म-ए दहक़ां देख लेता हूं

मोहब्बत को जहां दिल का निगहबां देख लेता हूं

वहां गुंजाएश-ए तख़्मीर-ए इन्सां देख लेता हूं

जुढी है ख़ून से एक एक ईंट इस की

लरज़ उठता हूं मैं जब कोई ऐवां देख लेता हूं

किसी शोरीदा सर की शक्ल फिर जाती है आंखौं में

जहां मैं रौज़न-ए दीवार-ए ज़िन्दां देख लेता हूं

ग़म-ए इमरोज़ में भी राहत-ए फ़र्दा पे नज़्रें हैं

उन्हीं अश्कौं के क़त्रौं में चराग़ां देख लेता हूं

I see the colour hidden behind golden piles of harvest. In every grain, I see the (colour of the) warm (hard working) blood of the peasant.

Wherever I see universal love guarding the heart, I see possibilities of nurturing humanism.

Every brick is joined (put in place) with blood (of the worker). I tremble whenever I see a mansion. See sahir ludhianavi – taj mahal.

kisi shoriida-sar1 ki shakl2 phir jaati hai aaNkhoN meN
jahaaN maiN rauzan3-e diivaar-e zindaaN4 dekh leta huN

Whenever I see a peephole in the wall of the prison, the face of a mad/passionate/protesting/audacious person runs across my eyes.

Gham-e-imroz1 meN bhi raahat-e-farda2 pe nazreN haiN
unhiN ashkoN3 ke qatroN4 meN charaaGhaaN5 dekh leta huN  
1.today’s sorrow 2.future comfort/pleasure 3.tears 4.drops 5.sparkle
I can see pleasure/comfort/justice of the future even in the sorrows of today. In those very same tears, I see the sparkle of hope for tomorrow.
