رنگینیِ فردہ کا یقیں میری غزل میں

پُر کیف دریچے ہیں تصوُّر کے یہ اشعار
ہے عکسِ رخِ پردہ نشیں میری غزل میں

بے کیفیِ حالات سے واقف تو ہوں لیکن
پلتے ہیں کئی خواب حسیں میری غزل میں

کیا جانیے کیا ہو گیا اِحساس کو یکتاؔ

मिलता है तेरा अक्स-ए हसीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में
है नक़्शा-ए फ़िरदौस-ए बरीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में

माज़ी के तसव्वुर से हिरासाँ नहीं होता
रंगीनी-ए फ़र्दा का यक़ीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में

पुर-कैफ़ दरीचे हैं तसव्वुर के ये अश’आर
है अक्स-ए रुख़-ए पर्दा-नशीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में
४
बे कैफ़ी-ए हालात से वाक़ेफ़ तो हूँ लेकिन
पलते हैं कई ख़्वाब-ए हसीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में

क्या जानिये क्या हो गया एहसास को यकता
पहले सी कोई बात नहीं मेरी ग़ज़ल में

He had a PhD in English literature and taught various colleges in madhya pradesh before settling down in dehra dun. His father vinod taalib worked for the government and was an urdu shaa’er. Two of his younger brothers also were shu’ara. His collection was published in 2016. The family traces its heritage to Ghalib’s shaagird, munshi hargopal tufta.

I am not fearful because of memories of the past; my Ghazal carries faith in a colorful future. Here maazii may have been burdened with pain, ignorance and/or conflict. The poet carries a progressive tone: poetry becomes not an escape but a declaration of belief in beauty yet to come.

Who is parda-nashiiN-the veiled one. It could be the beloved, the divine, the inner self or a hopeful vision of the future which is still not clearly visible. Thus, my verses are intoxicating windows of imagination through which you can visualize the beloved, the divine, the inner self or a hopeful future. My Ghazal shows a reflection of the face of parda-nashiiN, the veiled one.

I am aware of the joylessness of present conditions, yet many beautiful dreams of the future are nurtured in my Ghazal.

kyaa jaaniye1 kyaa ho gayaa ehsaas2 ko yaktaa3
pahle sii koii baat nahiiN meri Ghazal meN 1.who knows, how can it be known 2.feelings 3.pen-name
Who knows what has happened to my feelings/sensibilites (of feeling), O yaktaa; there’s no longer the same spirit as before in my Ghazal. This is a moment of self-doubt or creative fatigue.

Your beautiful reflection appears in my Ghazal; the sketch/description of the highest heaven (firdaus-e bariiN) in my poetry. Who is “your” supposed to mean. It could be the beloved, the divine or an inspiration/vision of the future. Thus, the reflection of the beloved, the divine or inspiration of the future appears in his Ghazal. In much the same way, naqsha-e firdaus-e bariiN can also symbolize a future ideal.
