بابری  مسجد  ۔  آنند  موہن  گلزارؔ  دہلوی

جب  بھی  اِنسان  کو  اِنسان  سے  کد  ہوتی  ہے

روحِ  بد،  قوم  کے  داخل  بہ  جَسد  ہوتی  ہے

اِن  دنوں  خیر  سے  حُکّام  کے  ایوانوں  میں

بات  جو  عقل  کی  ہوتی  ہے  وہ  رَد  ہوتی  ہے

سلسلہ  ایک  منظّم  ہے  مسلسِل  یارو

ظلم  کی  قتل  کی  سازش  کی  بھی  حد  ہوتی  ہے

یہ  بھی  سوچا  ہے  کبھی  قتل  کے  تُجّاروں  نے

اِس  سے  کُل  قوم  کی،  کُل  دہر  میں  بھد  ہوتی  ہے

اہلِ  دولت  نے  جو  پالے  ہیں  سیاسی  تاجر

اُن  کے  کھاتوں  میں  مظالم  کی  بھی  مد  ہوتی  ہے

۶

ہونے  والے  ہیں  بہت  جلد  جہنّم  وہ  رسید

جِن  کے  احکام  پہ  لاشوں  کی  رسد  ہوتی  ہے

۷

قتل  و  غارتگری  قوم  پہ  نافز  جو  ہوئے

اُن  کے  ہاتھوں  میں  جرائم  کی  سند  ہوتی  ہے

خونِ  ناحق  پہ  یہاں  عیش  اُڑانے  والو

عیش  کی  آخری  منزل  بھی  لہد  ہوتی  ہے

اپنا  ہی  قول  ہے  یہ  قولِ  مُظفّر  لکھ  لو

ظلم  سہنے  سے  بھی  ظالم  کی  مدد  ہوتی  ہے

کیا  سمجھتے  نہیں  معبَد  کو  گرانے  والے

اِس  سے  توہینِ  مقامِ  شہِ  جَد  ہوتی  ہے

اپنے  اسلاف  کے  گلزارؔ  کی  تاریخ  لکھو

اِس  سے  اَخلاف  کی  افزائشِ  قد  ہوتی  ہے

जब भी इन्सान को इन्सान से कद होती है

रूह-ए बद, क़ौम के दाख़िल-बा-जसद होती है

इन दिनों खै़र दर हुक्काम के ऐवानौं में

बात जो अक़्ल कि होती है वो रद्द होती है

सिल्सिला एक मुनज़्ज़िम है मुसल्सिल यारो

ज़ुल्म कि, क़त्ल कि, साज़िश कि भी हद्द होती है

ये भी सोचा है कभी क़त्ल के तुज्जारौं ने

इस से कुल क़ौम कि, कुल दहर में भद्द होती है

अहल-ए दौलत ने जो पाले हैं सियासी ताजेर

उन के खातों में मज़ालिम कि भी मद्द होती है

होने वाले हैं बहुत जल्द जहन्नुम वो रसीद

जिन के अहकाम पे लाशों कि रसद होती है

क़त्ल ओ ग़ारत-गरी-ए क़ौम पे नाफ़िज़ जो हुए

उन के हाथौं में जरा’एम कि सनद होती है

ख़ून-ए नाहक़ पे यहां ऐश उड़ाने वालो

ऐश कि आख़्री मंज़िल भी लहद होती है

अपना ही क़ौल है ये, क़ौल-ए मुज़फ़्फ़र लिख लो

ज़ुल्म सहने से भी ज़ालिम कि मदद होती है

क्या समझते नहीं माबद को गिराने वाले

इस से तौहीन-ए मक़ाम-ए शह-ए जद्द होती है

अपने अस्लाफ़ के गुल्ज़ार कि तारीख़ किखो

इस से अख़्लाफ़ कि अफ़्ज़ा’एश-ए क़द होती है

He recited this on 8th December, 1992, two days after the demolition of the babari masjid, at a mushaa’era in ‘aivaan-e Ghaalib’.

Whenever hatred develops with other humans, an evil spirit enters/pervades the body of the whole community.

baat jo aql ki hoti hai vo radd4 hoti hai 
1.(sarcastically) it is well that 2.rulers 3.halls 4.rejected
These days it is well (sarcastic) that in the halls of the rulers, any sensible suggestion is rejected.

silsila1 ek munazzim2 hai musalsil3 yaaro
zulm4 ki, qatl5 ki, saazish6 ki bhi hadd7 hoti hai

There has been a continuous, constant, organized cruelty, killing and conspiracy. Is there no limit to this, my friends.

ye bhi socha hai kabhi qatl1 ke tujjaarauN2 ne
is se kul3 qaum4 ki, kul dahr5 meN bhad6 hoti hai 
1.killing 2.traders, dealers 3.total, all 4.community 5.world 6.disgrace, shame
Have the dealers in death give any thought that because of their killing the whole community is disgraced in the whole world.

ahl-e-daulat1 ne jo paale haiN siyaasi-taajir2
un ke khaatauN3 meN mazaalim4 ki bhi madd5 hoti hai 
1.people of wealth/power 2.traders in politics 3.account books 4.cruelties 5.entry, item, category
People who accumulate power through political traders and nurture them, also have the list of their cruelties entered in their own account books.

jin ke ahkaam4 pe laashauN5 ki rasad6 hoti hai 
1.soon 2.hell 3.from faarsi raseedan-to arrive 4.orders 5.corpses, bodies 6.to send, to deliver
Those, upon whose orders, corpses/bodies are delivered are very soon going to arrive in hell.

un ke haathauN meN jaraa’em5 ki sanad6 hoti hai 
1.killing 2.destruction 3.community, nation 4.appointed to 5.crimes 6.certificate
Those who are appointed to the office of killing and destruction of the country, carry a certificate of their crimes with them.

Khoon-e-naahaq1 pe yahaaN aish2 uRaane vaalo
aish ki aaKhiri3 manzil4 bhi lahad5 hoti hai 
1.unjust killing 2.pleasure 3.final 4.destination 5.grave
O, you who are enjoying unjust killing, beware, this pathway too leads to the grave.

is se aKhlaaf4 ki afzaa’esh5-e qad6 hoti hai 
1.forebears 2.garden (also the taKhallus of the poet) 3.history 4.progeny, successors 5.increase, enhancement 6.height, stature, respect
Write/examine the history of the garden/civilization of your forebears. (There you will see acceptance of all religions/faiths). (You will learn from this and) this will enhance the respect of their successors.
