درّہ موت –  مخدوم محی الدین

اِس تباہی کی گزر گاہ سے چل
یہ کوئی رستہ جس رستے میں
نہ  کوئی پھول  نہ   پتہ
نہ    کوئی   پیڑ    نہ  پھل
ایک ہیولاۓ سیاہ
حد نظر
جس طرف دیکھو کھنڈر
موت کا درّہ ہے  تیزی سے گزر

 

شام کا چہرہ ہے خون آلودہ
اورخورشید ہوا، قلزم ظلمات میں حَل
دشتِ خاموشی سے جب گزروگے
کئی اُمیدوں  کی لاشوں سے گزرناہو گا
اِس اندھیرے سے نکل

 

دامن کوہ میں چُپ چاپ اُتَر  آ تی ہے رات
اور  رستوں  سے   چمٹ   جاتی   ہے
ساۓ   مٹ جاتے ہیں
پِھر  وہی کرب و کراہ
پِھر وہی نالہ و شیون
وہی   چیخیں،وہی آہ
زندگی نے جسے کاٹ لیا
ایسے  اْجڑے   ہوئے  رستے سے  ذرا    آگے   چل

दर्रा-ए मौत – मख़दूम मोहिउद्दीन

इस तबाही की गुज़र गाह से चल

ये कोई रस्ता जिस रस्ते में

ना कोई फूल ना पत्ता

ना कोई पेड़ ना फल

एक हियोला-ए-सियाह

हद्द-ए-नज़र

जिस तरफ़ देखो खंडर

मौत का दर्रा है तेज़ी से गुज़र

 

शाम का चेहरा है ख़ून आलूदा

और ख़ुर्शीद हुआ क़ुलज़ुम-ए-ज़ुल्‍मात में हल

दश्त-ए-ख़ामोशी से जब गुज़रोगे

कैई उम्‍मीदौं की लाशौं से गुज़ारना होगा

इस अंधेरे से निकल

 

दामन-ए-कोह में चुप चाप उतर आती है रात

और रस्तौं से चिमट जाती है

साए मिट जाते हैं

फिर वही करब-ओ-कराह

फिर वही नाला-ओ-शेवन

वही चीख़ें, वही आह

ज़िंदगी ने जिसे काट लिया

ऐसे उजड़े हुए रस्ते से ज़रा आगे चल

Pass quickly through this valley of destrution. How can this be a tolerable pathway, in which there are no flowers, not even leaves. No trees, no fruits, a dark appartition, as far as the eye can see. Everywhere you turn, ruins. This is a valley of death, get away as fast as you can.

aur Khurshid2 hua qulzum-e-zulmaat3 meN hal4
dasht-e-Khaamoshi5 se jab guzroge6
kaii ummeedauN ki laashauN se guzarna hoga
is andhere se nikal
1.dripping, smeared with 2.sun 3.ocean of darkness 4.dissolve 5.wilderness of silence, eerie 6.passing through
The evening smeared with the redness of blood and the sun dissolving in the ocean of darkness as you pass through this eerie wilderness you will have to pass many corpses of hope. Get out of this darkness.

aur rastauN se chimaT jaati hai
saae miT jaate haiN
phir vahi karb-o-karaah2
phir vahi naala-o-shevan3
vahi cheeKheN, vahi aah4
zindagi ne jise kaaT liya
aise ujRe hue raste se zara aage chal
1.apron of the hill, valley 2.pain and moan 3.wailing and crying 4.sigh
The night descends quietly into the valleys and darkness clings to the pathway. Shadows and forms are erased. Then the same hurt, the same moaning, the same wailing, the same crying, the same cries and sighs as if Life itself bites. Pass quickly past this desolate path.
