جنگ بازوں کا فرمان ۔ علی سردار جعفری
خون و بارود کی بوُ کو بھی معطر سمجھو
حکم اب یہ ہے کہ زخموں کو گُلِ تر سمجھو
موت کی گود سے لو لذّتِ ہم آغوشی
خمِ تلوار کو محبوب کا پیکر سمجھو
جنگ کو امن کہو، امن کو دو جنگ کا نام
نشترِ خار کو پھولوں کے برابر سمجھو
دولتِ دیدۂ تر چار طرف عام ہوئی
آنسوؤں کو بھی مئے ناب کا ساغر سمجھو
روحِ اِبلیس کو دو حضرتِ جبریل کا نام
جھوٹ کو حکمِ خدا، حرفِ پیمبر سمجھو
जंग बाज़ों का फ़रमान – अली सरदार जाफ़्री
ख़ून ओ बारूद कि बू को भी मो’अत्तर समझो
हुक्म अब ये है के ज़ख़्मौं को गुल-ए तर समझो
मौत कि गोद से लो लज़्ज़त-ए हम-आग़ोशी
ख़म-ए तलवार को महबूब का पैकर समझो
जंग को अम्न कहो, अमन को दो जंग का नाम
नश्तर-ए ख़ार को फूलौं के बराबर समझो
दौलत-ए दीदा-ए तर चार तरफ़ आम हुई
आंसुओं को भी मै-ए नाब का साग़र समझो
रूह-ए इब्लीस को दो हज़्रत- जिब्रील का नाम
झूट को हुक्म-ए ख़ुदा हर्फ़-ए पै’अम्बर समझो

Khoon o barood1 ki buu ko bhi mo’attar2 samjho
hukm ab ye hai ke zaKhmauN ko gul-e-tar3 samjho1.gunpowder 2.fragrant like atar/itr 3.moist/fresh flowers
Orders have been promulgated that henceforth the smell of blood and gunpowder should be considered more fragrant than the aroma of itr, that bleeding wounds be considered like fresh flowers.

Kham3-e talvaar ko mahboob ka paikar4 samjho1.comfort, pleasure 2.embrace (of the beloved) 3.curve 4.image
… that you derive pleasure in the lap of Death like the embrace of he beloved, that you think of the curve of the sword like her beautiful looks/image. How very easily we can imagine ‘mahboob ka paikar’ to be the company of ‘hoor’ in heaven.

nashtar2-e Khaar3 ko phoolauN ke baraabar samjho1.peace 2.knife, sharp point 3.thorn
The “Secretary of War” was re-named “Secretary of Defence”. Henceforth war will be known as peacekeeping and peace as acceptance of injustice/war. The sharp point of the thorn will be considered as good as the gentle petal of the flower.
