خدا ۔ گلزار

 

پورے کا پورا آکاش گھما کر  بازی دیکھی میں نے

 

کالے گھر میں سورج رکھ كے
تم نے شاید سوچا تھا ، میرے مہرے سب پِٹ جائینگے
میں نے اک چراغ جلا کر
اپنا رستہ کھول لیا

 

تم نے اک سمندر ہاتھ میں لے کر ، مجھ پر ڈھیل دیا
میں نے نوح کی کشتی اُسکے اوپر رکھ دی
کال چلاتم نے اور میری جانب دیکھا
میں نے کال کو توڑ کے لمحہ لمحہ جینا سیکھ لیا

 

میری خودی کو تم نے چند  چمتکاروں سے مارنا چاہا
میرے ایک  پیادے نے تیرا چاند کامہرہ مار لیا

 

موت کی شہہ دے کر تم نے سمجھا تھا اب تو مات ہوئی
میں نے جسم کا خول اُتار کے سونپ دیا ۔اور  روح  بچا لی

 

پورے کاپورا آکاش گھما کر اب تم دیکھو بازی

पूरे का पूरा आकाश घुमा कर बाज़ी देखी मैंने

 

काले घर में सूरज रख के,
तुमने शायद सोचा था, मेरे सब मोहरे पिट जायेंगे,
मैंने एक चिराग़ जला कर,
अपना रस्ता खोल लिया

 

तुमने एक समन्दर हाथ में ले कर, मुझ पर ढेल दिया
मैंने नूह की कश्ती उसके ऊपर रख दी,
काल चला तुमने, और मेरी जानिब देखा,
मैंने काल को तोड़ के लम्हा-लम्हा जीना सीख लिया

मेरी ख़ुदी को तुमने चन्द चमत्कारों से मारना चाहा,
मेरे ऐक प्यादे ने तेरा चाँद का मोहरा मार लिया
मौत की शह दे कर तुमने समझा अब तो मात हुई,
मैंने जिस्म का ख़ौल उतार के सौंप दिया, और रूह बचा ली

 

पूरे का पूरा आकाश घुमा कर अब तुम देखो बाज़ी

You hid the sun in the black house and thought that I would lose all my (chess) pieces. I lit a lamp and opened up a way (see Mohammed Iqbal “tu shab aafridi”).

You took a whole ocean in your hand and poured it on me. I placed a boat on top of the flood.

You started a famine and looked at/towards me (to see if I would survive). I broke the famine and learnt to live minute by minute (struggling every minute).

mere ek piyade ne teraa chaaNd ka mohraa maar liya
1.higher self, ego, self-respect 2.a few 3.tricks
You tried to defeat my self respect with a few tricks. My one step conquered your moon. Cast in the language of chess it reflects the quote of Neil Armstrong.

maiN ne jism2 kaa Khaul3 utaar ke sauNp4 diyaa aur rooh5 bachaa lee
1.check mate (as in chess) 2.body 3.skin, covering 4.consigned 5.spirit
You check-mated me with Death thinking that now I had lost. I gave up my skin/covering of the body and saved my soul.
