مشغلہ کیا ہے ۔ پنڈت جگ موہن رائینا شوقؔ

تنِ بے جاں میں اب رہا کیا ہے
دیکھیے مرضیِ خدا کیا ہے

اپنی حالت پہ آج روتا ہے
دلِ دیوانہ کو ہوا کیا ہے

اے طبیبو تمہیں خدا کی قسم
سچ بتا دو کہ ماجرا کیا ہے

I do not know much more about him except that there were two volumes of his diivan, one published in 1940 and the other in 1947. Together with panDit brij kishan kaul beKhabar, he authored two volumes of urdu and faarsi selections of nazm and Ghazal by kashmiri panDits, published in 1931 and 1932, spread over 900 and 1100 pages.

tan1-e be-jaaN2 meN ab rahaa kya hai
dekhiye marzi3-e Khudaa kya hai 1.body 2.lifeless, listless 3.will
What is left in this listless body now (this could be simply due to aging or due to the constant rejection of the beloved). Let us see what god wills i.e., let us see when god decides that it is time to sap life completely out of this body.

apni haalat1 pe aaj rotaa hai
dil-e diivaana ko huaa kya hai 1.condition
The foolish heart was not careful when it still had the opportunity. It fell for the beauty of the beloved, knowing full well that it was going to face rejection. Now it is crying over its condition. What is the use!

aye tabiibo1 tumheN Khudaa ki qasam
sach bataa do keh maajraa2 kya hai 1.healers 2.predicament, condition
The poet/suitor is on his death bed. Healers have been called and are either meaningfully quiet or talking among themselves. I swear by god O healers, tell me the truth. Tell me what my condition is.

maiN Khataavaar1 hi sahi laikin
sun to lo pahle maajra2 kya hai 1.offending, transgressor 2.condition
The beloved is offended (by a real or imagined offence) and is no longer talking to the poet/suitor. He pleads, maybe I have offended, but at least listen to the sad story of my condition.

na khula1 aaj tak kisi par bhi
Khat2-e taqdiir3 meN likha kya hai 1.understand, learn 2.(written) line 3.fate
To this day nobody has been able to understand/read what is written in the line of fate.

kyuN ye chup chup gaye adam1 vaale
yaa-ilaahi2 ye maajra3 kya hai 1.other world, non-existence, spiritual world 2.O my lord 3.happening
Why did those leaving for the other world leave so quietly. O my lord, what is going on.

lab1-e zaKhm2-e jigar3 to haNste haiN
tu ne aye baKhiya-gar4 siyaa kya hai 1.lips, mouth 2.wound 3.liver/heart 4.tailor, sewing master
The wounds of the poets heart have been stitched. But he looks at them and they seem to be still open (smiling). What is it that you sewed up, O tailor.

ye na poochha keh muddu’aa1 kya hai 1.desire, wish
Not just the heart, I gave up my life for love. But still you did not ask what I wanted.

uTh ke pichhle1 se aahoN2 ka bharna
shauq3 tera ye mashGhala4 kya hai 1.long time ago 2.sigh 3.pen-name of poet, desire, wish, love 4.past-time
This could be addressed to the poet/suitor or to his love. Because both of the meanings of his pen-name fit. Getting up since early morning you have been heaving sighs. O shauq, what kind of a pasttime is this.
