محبت  سے  بِنائے  فطرتِ  آدم  سمجھتا  ہوں

محبت  پر  مدارِ  ہستیِ  عالم  سمجھتا  ہوں

محبت  ہی  کا  نظّارہ  ہے  بستی  ہو  کہ  ویرانہ

محبت  ہی  کا  پرتو  ہے  حرم  ہو  یا  صنم  خانہ

محبت  کفر  بھی،  ایمان  بھی،  کثرت  بھی،  وحدت  بھی

محبت  مقصد  تخلیق  بھی،  عینِ  عبادت  بھی

میں  شاعر  ہوں،  مجھے  ہر  عنصرِ  ہستی  سے  اُلفت  ہے

میری  دنیا  میں  کینہ  ہے،  عداوت  ہے،  نہ  نفرت  ہے

محبت  ہے  ازل  ہی  سے  مجھے  انوارِ  یزداں  سے

मोहब्बत ही का परतव है हरम हो या सनम ख़ाना

मोहब्बत कुफ़्र भी, ईमान भी, क़सरत भी, वहदत भी

मोहब्बत मक़्सद तख़लीक़ भी, ऐन-ए इबादत भी

मैं शा’एर हूँ, मुझे हर उन्सुर-ए हस्ती से उल्फ़त है

मेरी दुनिया में कीना है, अदावत है, न नफ़्रत है

मोहब्बत है अज़ल ही से मुझे अनवार-ए यज़दां से

मेरी फ़ितरत को निस्बत ही नहीं कुछ कुफ़्र ओ ईमां से

मेरा ज़ाहिर हक़ीक़त में वही है जो मेरा बातिन

मेरी नज़रौं में यकसां है, कोई काफ़िर हो या मोमिन

अज़ल से ता अबद जो कुछ भी है वो सब मोहब्बत है

There are at least two collections of Ghazal and nazm. There is precious little by way of biographical information but it seems that he was associated with teaching (perhaps urdu) in some college in kolkata.
