جہاں سُروُر میں سوز و گُداز ہوتا ہے

جہاں نیاز ہم آغوشِ ناز ہوتا ہے

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں نگاہ سے جادو جگائے جاتے ہیں

جہاں بہشت کے آثار پائے جاتے ہیں

جہاں چراغِ محبّت جلائے جاتے ہیں

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں کی زیست میں معراجِ نوجوانی ہے

جہاں کی زیست میں پوشیدہ زندگانی ہے

جہاں سکون بھی اقدامِ پرفشانی ہے

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں کے نور سے خورشید جگمگاتا ہے

جہاں کا رنگ ہر اِک گُلسِتاں پہ چھاتا ہے

جہاں کا حسن محبّت کے گیت گاتا ہے

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں تبسّمِ رنگیں میں پھول ہنستے ہیں

جہاں تکلّمِ شیریں میں راگ بستے ہیں

جہاں نگاہ سے انوارِ دل برستے ہیں

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں فلک کی ہے رفعت زمیں کی پستی میں

جہاں ہے زہد بھی مصروف مے پرستی میں

جہاں خدا کی عبادت ہے بُت پرستی میں

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

جہاں کی خاک پہ مہر اور ماہ رہتے ہیں

جہاں کی ارض پہ دریائے قدس بہتے ہیں

جسے زبانِ محبّت میں ‘طور’ کہتے ہیں

وہیں کسی کی محبّت کا خواب دیکھا ہے

मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है – मीर मोहम्मद अली ख़ां मैकश हैदराबादी

जहां सुकून भी हंगामा-साज़ होता है

जहां सुरूर में सोज़-ओ-गुदाज़ होता है

जहां नियाज़ हम-आग़ोश-ए नाज़ होता है

वहीं किसी कि मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है

जहां निगाह से जादू जगाए जाते हैं

जहां बेहिश्त के आसार पाए जाते हैं

जहां चराग़-ए मोहब्बत जलाए जाते हैं

वहीं किसी कि मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है

जहां कि ज़ीस्त में मे’राज-ए नौजवानी है

जहां कि ज़ीस्त में पोशीदा ज़िंदगानी है

जहां सुकून भी एक़्दाम-ए पर-फ़शानी है

वहीं किसी कि मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है

जहां के नूर से ख़ुर्शीद जगमगाता है

जहां का रंग हर एक गुल्सितां पे छाता है

जहां का हुस्न मोहब्बत के गीत गाता है

जहां तबस्सुम-ए रंगीं में फूल हंस्ते हैं

जहां तकल्लुम-ए शीरीं में राग बस्ते हैं

जहां फ़लक कि है रफ़’अत ज़मीं कि पस्ती में

जहां है ज़ोहद भी है मस्रूफ़ मै-परस्ती में

जहां ख़ुदा कि इबादत है बुत-परस्ती में

वहीं किसी कि मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है

जहां कि ख़ाक पे महर और माह रहते हैं

जहां कि अर्ज़ पे दर्या-ए क़ुद्स बहते हैं

जिसे ज़बान-ए मोहब्बत में “तूर” कहते हैं

वहीं किसी कि मोहब्बत का ख़्वाब देखा है

Dropped out of the university degree program after two years and worked as editor, columnist and perhaps as a party worker. maKhdoom was about 10 years his senior but it is highly likely that they were close associates, since both were active in mushaa’ra circles and in the Communist Party. This nazm bears the same title as maKhdoom’s nazm – tuur. Both are in the same spirit and tone.
