وہ طوائف

کئی مردوں کو پہچانتی ہے

شاید اسی لیے

دنیا کو زیادہ جانتی ہے

 

اُس کے کمرے میں

ہر مذہب کے بھگوان کی ایک ایک تصویر لٹکی ہے

یہ تصویریں

لیڈروں کی تقریروں کی طرح نمائشی نہیں

 

اُس کا دروازہ

رات گئے تک

ہندو

مسلم

سکھ

عیسائی

ہر مذہب کے آدمی کے لئے کھلا رہتا ہے

 

خدا جانے

اس کے کمرے کی سی کشادگی

مسجد اور مندر کے آنگنوں میں کب  پیدا ہوگی

क़ौमी यक-जहती – निदा फ़ाज़ेली

 

वो तवाएफ़

कई मर्दों को पहचानती है

शायद इसी लिए

दुनिया को ज़ियादा जानती है

 

उस के कमरे में

हर मज़हब के भगवान की एक एक तस्वीर लटकी है

ये तस्वीरें

लीडरों की तक़रीरों की तरह नुमाएशी नहीं

 

उस का दरवाज़ा

रात गए तक

हिन्दू

मुस्लिम

सिख

ईसाई

हर मज़हब के आदमी के लिए खुला रहता है

 

ख़ुदा जाने

उस के कमरे की सी कुशादगी

मस्जिद और मंदिर के आँगनों में कब पैदा होगी
