شیوۂ عشق نہیں حُسن کو رُسوا کرنا
اک نظر بھی تری کافی تھی پئے راحتِ جاں
کچھ بھی دشوار نہ تھا مجھ کو شکیبا کرنا
اُن کو یاں وعدے پہ آ لینے دے اے ابرِ بہار
جس قدر چاہنا پھر بعد میں برسا کرنا
شام ہو یا کہ سحر یاد اُنہیں کی رکھنی
دن ہو یا رات ہمیں ذکر اُنہیں کا کرنا
صوم زاہد کو مبارک رہے عابد کو صلوٰۃ
عاصیوں کو تری رحمت پہ بھروسا کرنا
عاشقو حُسنِ جفاکار کا شکوہ ہے گناہ
تم خبردار خبردار نہ ایسا کرنا
کچھ سمجھ میں نہیں آتا کہ یہ کیا ہے حسرتؔ
اُن سے مل کر بھی نہ اِظہارِ تمنّا کرنا

शेवा-ए-इश्क़ नहीं हुस्न को रुस्वा करना
इक नज़र भी तेरी काफ़ी थी पा-ए राहत-ए जाँ

उन को याँ वादे पे आ लेने दे ऐ अब्र-ए बहार
जिस क़दर चाहना फिर बाद में बरसा करना
शाम हो या के सहर याद उन्हीं की रखनी
दिन हो या रात हमें ज़िक्र उन्हीं का करना
सौम ज़ाहिद को मुबारक रहे आबेद को सलात
आसियों को तेरी रहमत पे भरोसा करना
आशेक़ो हुस्न-ए जफ़ाकार का शिकवा है गुनाह
तुम ख़बरदार ख़बरदार न ऐसा करना
कुछ समझ में नहीं आता कि ये क्या है हसरत
उन से मिल कर भी न इज़हार-ए तमन्ना करना
