shaa’er log – faiz

In every age and in every reign, we have downed draughts of poison, sang songs of sacrifice. We gave our lives away so that we could live for the sake of that one moment of togetherness. We gave up the wealth of our faith and our world.

Proudly taking care of our provisions of fasting and starvation. The path we chose is the path we walked on as the wealthy looked down on us with scorn. They taunted us, they wrung their hands.

We turned around, hurled words of justice at them who terrorized the world and made it tremble. For those who had none to shed a tear for them our eyes rained tears, wept for them.
