اُڑا دو ہو ۔ میر تقی میرؔ

کیا کچھ ہم سے ضد ہے تم کو بات ہماری اُڑا دو ہو
لگ پڑتے ہیں ہم تم سے تو تم اوروں کو لگا دو ہو

کیا روویں قدر و قیمت کو یہیں سے ہے معلوم ہمیں
کام ہمارا پاس تمہارے جو آتا ہے بہا دو ہو

اتنی تو جا خالی رہی ہے بزمِ خوش میں تمہارے سوا
جن کو کہیں جا گہہ نہیں ملتی پہلو میں اُن کو جا دو ہو

زنگ تو جاوے دل سے ہمارے غیر سیہ رو بد گو کے
کھینچ کے تو ایسی ایک لگاؤ تیغ ستم کی تا دو ہو

صحبت گرم ہماری تمہاری شمع پتنگے کی سی ہے
یعنی ہو دل سوز جو کوئی اُس کو تم تو جلا دو ہو

رنگِ صحبت کس کو دکھاویں، خوبی اپنی قسمت کی
ساغرِ مے دشمن کو دو ہو، ہم کو زہر منگا دو ہو

بند نہیں جو کرتے ہو تم سینے کے سوراخوں کو
جی کی رُکن میں ان رخنوں سے شاید دل کو ہوا دو ہو

آنکھ جھپک جاتی نہیں تنہا آگے چہرۂ روشن کے
ماہ بھی بیٹھا جاتا ہے جب منھ سے نقاب اُٹھا دو ہو

غیر سے غیریت ہے آساں لیکن تہ کچھ ہم کو نہیں
بات بتا دیں کیا ہم تم کو تم ہم کو تو بنا دو ہو

طول ہمارے گھٹنے کو دے کر جیسے چراغ بڑھا دو ہو

क्या कुछ हम से ज़िद्द है तुम को बात हमारि उढा दो हो
लग पड़ते हैं हम तुम से तो तुम औरौं को लगा दो हो

क्या रोवें क़द्र ओ क़ीमत को यहीं से है मालूम हमें
काम हमारा पास तुम्हारे जो आता है बहा दो हो

इतनी तो जा ख़ाली रही है बज़्म-ए ख़ुश में तुम्हारे सिवा
जिन को कहीं जा गह नहीं मिलती पहलू में उन को जा दो हो

ज़ंग तो जावे दिल से हमारे ग़ैर सियह बद-गो के
खींच के तो ऐसि ऐक लगाओ तेग़ सितम कि ता दो हो

सोहबत गर्म हमारि तुम्हारि शमअ पतंगे की सी है
यानि हो दिल सोज़ जो कोई उस को तुम तो जलो दो हो

रंग-ए सोहबत किस को दिखावें ख़ूबी अपनी क़िस्मत की
साग़र-ए मै दुश्मन को दो हो, हम को ज़हर पिला दो हो

बन्द नहीं जो करते हा तुम सीने के सूराख़ौं को
जी कि रुक्न में इन रख़्नौं शाएद दिल को हवा दो हो

आंख झपक जाती नहीं तन्हा आगे चेहरा-ए रौशन के
माह भी बैठा जाता है जब मुं से नक़ाब उठा दो हो

ग़ैर से ग़ैरिय्यत है आसां लैकिन तह कुछ हम को नहीं
बात बता दें क्या हम तुम को तुम हम को न बना दो हो

मीर हिक़ारत से हम अपनी चुप रह जाते हैं जान जले
तूल हमारे घट्ने को दे कर जैसे चिराग़ बढ़ा दो हो

There are so many places open in this happy gathering, but whenever someone (complains that he) has no place, you offer him a seat beside you.

khaiNch ke to aisi ek lagaao teGh5 sitam6 ki taa7 do ho 1.rust, dirt, ill-feeling 2.other, rival 3.black faced 4.evil-speech 5.sword 6.cruel, forceful 7.so that
The rival is black-faced and ill-speaking (either because he speaks ill about the poet/lover or because he is not as good a poet). The poet/lover has a lot of ill-feeling in his heart towards him and urges the beloved to pull out her sword and strike him hard so that he is split in two and his ill-feeling is cleared.

Our relationship is like that of the lamp and the moth i.e. whoever has a passionate heart towards you, you burn him up.

It is not only my eye that does not blink before this shining countenance, even the moon goes pale when you lift the veil off your face.
