اُردو  زباں  کے  ہیں  ۔  گوپال  کرشن  بتّا  شفقؔ

ہمدرد  پاک  کے  ہیں  نہ  یہ  ہندوستاں  کے  ہیں

دہشت  پرست  تو  عدو  سارے  جہاں  کے  ہیں

نکلے  جہاں  کو  لُوٹنے  لے  مذہبوں  کا  نام

جو  ورغلا  دیں  ہم  کو  یہ  عالِم  کہاں  کے  ہیں

پیسوں  کی  لین  دین  نے  رہبر  بنا  دیا

ہم  جانتے  ہیں،  چور  یہ  سارے  جہاں  کے  ہیں

خود  ہم  نے  اِس  زمین  کو  دوزخ  بنا  دیا

کہتے  ہیں  ہم  کہ  ظلم  یہ  سب  آسماں  کے  ہیں

دیکھو  چلیں  نہ  اہلِ  سیاست  کی  سازشیں

دشمن  یہی  تو  ہر  جگہ  امن  و  اماں  کے  ہیں

شک  جن  کو  اپنی  ایکتا  پہ  ہو  کہیں  شفقؔ

سِکّے  رواں  دلوں  پہ  کیوں  اُردو  زباں  کے  ہیں

उर्दू ज़बां के हैं – गोपाल क्रिष्ण बत्ता शफ़क़

हमरदर्द पाक के हैं न ये हिंदोस्तां के हैं

दहशत पसंद तो उदू सारे जहां के हैं

निकले जहां को लूटने ले मज़हबौं का नाम

जो वरग़ला दें हम को ये आलेम कहां के हैं

पैसौं कि लेन देन ने रहबर बना दिया

हम जानते हैं चोर ये सारे जहां के हैं

ख़ुद ने हम इस ज़मीन को दोज़ख़ बना दिया

कहते हैं हम के ज़ुल्म ये सब आस्मां के हैं

देखो चलें न अहल-ए सियासत कि साज़िशें

दुश्मन यही तो हर जगह अम्न ओ अमां के हैं

शक जिन को अपनी एकता पे हो, कहें शफ़क़

सिक्के रवां दिलौं पे क्यूं उर्दू ज़बां के हैं

We know that they are world-class thieves
