ہر شے سے بے نیاز کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

فطرت کو کارساز کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

ہے جستجوئے سِرّ حقیقت رواں فروز
راہِ طلب دراز کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

دنیا کو دے رہا ہوں سبق حسن و عشق کا
افشا ہر ایک راز کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

ہوگا کبھی تو حُسنِ حقیقت نظر نواز
نظارۂ مجاز کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

ناکامیِ امید سے گھبرا نہ جائے دل

محروم رہ نہ جائے کوئی تشنہ کام رازؔ

He received traditional education in urdu and faarsi at home and in a madrasa. Later he studied urdu and English formally at a high school in muradabad. He seems to have had a day job in jabalpur, but I don’t know what it was. There are 4 publications of Ghazal, nazm, short stories and rubaaiyaat and fifth book of a biography of his ustaad seemaab akbarabadi. I had access only to the collection of his Ghazal which include several in the zamin of Ghalib. This Ghazal is linked to other Ghazal of the same radeef on the Refrain-radeef page.

har shai3 se be-niyaaz4 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.equal to 2.coquetry, beloved 3.everything 4.indifferent, oblivious
The beloved is always indifferent to her lovers. The poet/lover is training his heart to be equally indifferent to everything and become the rival of, equal to the beloved. This could have sufiyaana implications. god is mustaGhni – not in need of anything, indifferent to everything. The poet/sufi is also trying to be like that. But becoming a ‘hariif’ of that is rather strong language.

fitrat4 ko kaarsaaz5 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.thanks 2.glance 3.coquetry 4.nature, character, mentality, personality 5.effective, clever, skilled
The beloved casts mischievous and coquettish glances at the poet/lover. He keeps being thankful for these glances thus making his own nature more effective (or her nature compatible) so that he may make some progress in his love.

hai justaju1-e sirr2-e haqiiqat3 ravaaN4-faroz5
raah6-e talab7 daraaz8 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.search 2.secret, mystery 3.truth 4.flowing 5.bright 6.path 7.desire 8.long, can also mean high, exalted
The poet/seeker/sufi wants to keep searching for the mystery of Truth. His search is proceeding; he is making the flow/progress of the search more bright. Thus, the path of desire is becoming more exalted/respected.

duniya ko de raha huN sabaq1 husn2-o-ishq ka
ifsha3 har ek raaz4 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.lesson 2.beauty 3.reveal 4.secret
(Through my verse) I reveal every secret and impart lessons of love and beauty.

hoga kabhi to husn1-e haqiiqat2 nazar-navaaz3
nazzaara4-e majaaz5 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.beauty 2.truth, reality 3.patronize/favour the seeker’s sight 4.looking at 5.illusion
The material world is considered to be an illusion, a temporary/passing world while the spiritual world is ‘haqiiqi’-real, permanent. The poet has been looking at the illusion – the majaazi world. That is all he can see. Perhaps by looking at it, he is realizing that his real goal is the haqiiqi world. In doing so, he hopes that one day the ‘husn-e haqiiqat’ meaning god, will look with favour upon him the seeker.

naakaami1-e umiid2 se ghabra3 na jaa’e dil
qismat par apni naaz4 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.failure 2.hope 3.worried, scared 4.pride
The poet is afraid that because of failure of his hopes in being realized and fulfilled his heart might get dejected/worried. I keep expressing pride/joy at my fate. At first glance this seems contradictory. His hopes are not being fulfilled; that is his fate; but he is expressing joy/pride at his fate. Is that because he is proud of being put to such a test or is that he is pretending to be proud so that his heart may not get worried. I am not sure. I appreciate any help with interpretation.

arzaaN4 sharaab-e raaz5 kiye jaa raha huN maiN 1.deprived 2.thirsty 3.pen-name of the poet 4.readily available, plentiful 5.secrets
‘sharaab-e raaz’ – wine of secrets is the poet’s verse. He is making it available so that no one is left deprived and thirsty for the meaning of love/truth/god. He writes to reveal these secrets. See number 4 above.
