manzar – faiz ahmed faiz
Click here for overall comments and on any passage for word meanings and discussion. This nazm of faiz is loaded with romanticism and sensuality. If maKhdoom’s ‘saaz aahista’ is interpreted with high dose of romanticism, then a comparison with this nazm is very pleasing. faiz moves between description of the manzar in front of him and the fantasies it generates.
