زمزمۂ  بیخودی  ۔  ایس  وی  بھجن  طالبؔ  شاہ  آبادی

فضاؤں  میں  بکھرا  ہوا  ہے  ترنّم،  مسرّت  سی  چاروں  طرف  چھا  رہی  ہے

نگاہوں  میں  رونق،  لبوں  پر  تبسم،  یہ  کس  کی  سواری  چلی  آ  رہی  ہے

ہوا  چاند  تاروں  کا  دلکش  اُجالا،  چلا  آ  رہا  ہے  مرا  آنے  والا

مسرّت  کے  آنسو  پروتے  ہیں  مالا،  نظر  فرش  بن  کر  بچھی  جا  رہی  ہے

مسیحا  کے  جلوے  نظر  میں  سمائے،  غموں  کے  ہٹے  دل  کی  دنیا  سے  سائے

مجھے  کیا  بہار  آئے  اب  یا  نہ  آئے،  کلی  میرے  دل  کی  کھلی  جا  رہی  ہے

مسیحا  ہے  چاروں  طرف  جلوہ  ساماں،  خیاباں  خیاباں  گلستاں  گلستاں

مرا  دل  ہے  جوشِ  مسرّت  سے  رقصاں،  مری  روح  کوئی  غزل  گا  رہی  ہے

یہ  مانا  کے  واعظ  کا  رتبہ  ہے  اعلیٰ،  یہ  مانا  کہ  زاہد  ہے  بندہ  خدا  کا

مگر  میں  ہوں  مستِ  جمالِ  مسیحا،  مئے  کیف  آنکھوں  میں  لہرا  رہی  ہے

زمانہ  دکھاتا  ہے  رنگیں  نظارے،  کہ  مومن  سے  ایماں  کا  سودا  چکائے

مگر  خاکِ  پائے  مسیحا  کے  بدلے،  طبیعت  دو  عالم  کو  ٹھکرا  رہی  ہے

عداوت  سے  گو  دشمنوں  نے  تھا  چاہا،  مرے  موت  لعنت  کی  بیٹا  خدا  کا

مگر  کلوری  پر  صلیبِ  مسیحا،  تماشا  محبت  کا  دکھلا  رہی  ہے

میسر  ہے  طالبؔ  کو  آج  ایسا  عِرفاں،  کہ  جیسے  ہوا  غمکدے  میں  چراغاں

مچلنے  لگے  دل  کے  پہلو  میں  ارماں،  زباں  شعر  کے  پھول  برسا  رہی  ہے

ज़म्ज़मा-ए बेख़ुदि – एस वी भजन फ़रहाद शाहाबादि

फ़िज़ाऔं में बिखरा हुआ है तरन्नुम, मसर्रत सि चारौं तरफ़ छा रही है

निगाहों में रौनक़, लबौं पर तबस्सुम, ये किस की सवारी चली आ रही है

हुआ चाँद तारौं का दिलकश उजाला , चला आ रहा है मेरा आने वाला

मसर्रत के आँसू पुरोते हैं माला, नज़र फर्श बन कर बिछी जा रही है

मसीहा के जल्वे नज़र में समाए, ग़मौं के हटे दिल की दुनिया से साए

मुझे क्या बहार आए अब या ना आए, कली मेरे दिल की खुली जा रही है

मसीहा है चारौं तरफ़ जल्वा सामां, ख़ियाबां ख़ियाबां गुलिस्तां गुलिस्तां

मेरा दिल है जोश-ए मसर्रत से रक़्सां, मेरी रूह कोई ग़ज़ल गा रही है

ये माना के वा’एज़ का रुत्बा है आला, ये माना के ज़ाहिद है बँदा ख़ुदा का

मगर मैं हूँ मस्त-ए जमाल-ए मसीहा, मै-ए कैफ़ आंखौं में लहरा रही है

ज़माना दिखाता है रंगीं नज़ारे, के मोमिन से ईमां का सौदा चुकाए

मगर ख़ाक-ए पा-ए मसीहा के बदले, तबिय्यत दो-आलम को ठुकरा रही है

अदावत से गो दुश्मनौं ने था चाहा, मरे मौत लानत की बेटा ख़ुदा का

मगर कल्वरी पर सलीब-ए मसीहा, तमाशा मोहब्बत का दिख्ला रही है

मयस्सर है तालिब को आज ऐसा इर्फ़ां, के जैसे हुआ ग़म-कदे में चिराग़ां

मचलने लगे दिल के पहलू में अर्मां, ज़बां शे’र के फूल बरसा रही है

Similarly, under “n’aat-e masiihi” are odes to Christ composed in urdu, by Christians of different language backgrounds. This composition has imagery that is stock trade in urdu poetry.

The glory of the saviour displayed all around in every garden, in every pathway. My heart dances with joy, there is Ghazal in my soul.

magar maiN huN mast-e jamaal-e masiiha, mai5-e kaif6 aaNkhoN meN lahra rahi ha

This has echoes of the sufi and bhakti traditions where love and devotion, rather than piety, are key to salvation. I agree that the preacher has a high status and the pious are god’s people, but I am inebriated with the glory of the saviour. The wine of contentment flows in my eyes.

magar Khaak3-e paa4-e masiiha ke badle, tabiyyat do-aalam5 ko Thukra rahi hai

The worlds show colourful/tempting scenes to lure the believer away from faith. But my nature wants to reject both worlds and accept instead the dust under the feet of the saviour.

magar kalvari4 par saleeb5-e masiiha, tamaasha mohabbat ka dikhla rahi hai

Even though his enemies, out of hatred, wanted the son of god to die a cursed death, but on the hill of Calvary, the crucifix displayed the act of love.
