آہ کئے جا رہا ہوں میں ۔ جگر مرادآبادی

 

وہ ہنس رہے ہیں آہ کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

پتھر کے دل میں راہ کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

 

بحرِ کرم کو جوش میں لانے کے واسطے

دانستہ کچھ گناہ کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

 

عادت کے بعد درد بھی دینے لگا مزا

ہنس ہنس کے آہ آہ کئے جا رہا ہوں میں

आह किये जा रहा हूं मैं – जिगर मुरादाबादी

 

वो हंस रहे हैं आह किये जा रहा हूं मैं

पत्थर के दिल में राह किये जा रहा हूं मैं

 

बहर-ए करम को जोश में लाने के वास्ते

दानिस्ता कुछ गुनाह किये जा रहा हूं मैं

 

आदत के बाद दर्द भी देने लगा मज़ा

हंस हंस के आह आह किये जा रहा हूं मैं

The beloved is merry and laughing while the lover/poet is forlorn and keeps sighing. He is trying to make his way into a heart of stone.

bahr1-e karam2 ko josh3 meN laane ke vaaste4
daanista5 kuchh gunaah kiye jaa raha huN maiN
1.ocean 2.kindness, generosity 3.bring to boil, cause to overflow 4.for the sake of 5.intentionally
This probably has reference to god’s generosity … an ocean of kindness. The poet/sinner is trying to get it to overflow i.e. show more and more kindness. That is why he keeps intentionally committing sins. Also see anand narain mulla and several others in ‘muntaKhab’ – ‘shooKhiyaana be-ehteraami’

varna tera qusoor na karna qusoor tha
