अरबाब-ए अक़्ल की दावत- जोश मलीह आबादी

अए ख़ल्वती-ए हुजला-ए अस्रार ओ मु’आनी

तस्बीह से तहक़ीक़ के दरबार में आ जा

अए पर्दा-नशीन-ए हरम-ए इस्मत ओ ईमां

एक रोज़ तो रिन्दान-ए गुनह-गार में आ जा

मुम्किन हो तो वज्दान कि महफ़िल से निकल कर

अए शाहेद-ए जां हल्क़ा-ए अफ़्कार में आ जा

एक उम्र से हैरान ओ परेशां हैं ख़रीदार

अए जिन्स-ए गिरां अक़्ल के बाज़ार में आ जा

क़रनौं से हैं अर्बाब-ए नज़र गोश बर आवाज़

अए राज़-ए नेहां म’आरेज़-ए गुफ़्तार में आ जा

His nazm are fiery, passionate, and full of energy. His Ghazal and rubaaii are equally good. He was a secular humanist writing sharply and irreverently against colonialism, abuse of power, injustice and orthodoxy. This nazm in the style of a Ghazal is an invitation to reason away from blind belief.
