پاتے ہیں دادِ بندگی اہلِ نظر یہاں

ہوتے ہیں طے مراحلِ عرفانِ زندگی
عقلِ تمام بنتی ہے خود راہبر یہاں

اللہ رے یہ مرتبۂ فطرتِ نیاز

سازِ شکستِ روح کے معصوم زیر و بم

اضداد میں ہے جلوۂ شیر و شکر یہاں

There are at least two collections of Ghazal and nazm. There is precious little by way of biographical information but it seems that he was associated with teaching (perhaps urdu) in some college in kolkata. To fly towards an umarked focus is to fly into unknown, uncharted territory. That is what the eye of desire/yearning (of the poet) does. As he writes his verse every day, his heart passes by the divine throne. He can only compose by receiving divine inspiration.

When the poets writes/recites he is making a devotional offering. The status of this character is so high that its head rests on the lap of the beauty of god. Could it mean that the poet derives his inspiration from the beauty of the cosmos.

In this gathering, opposites are accommodated. There is a manifestation of sweetness in contradictions.

Made here every day is the wine of the sanctified/spiritual tavern. The brilliance of dawn is filtered out of the darkness of night. The wine of mystic love is dispensed. Justice emerges from injustice in these gatherings.

aapas3 meN roz4 miltay haiN diivaar-o-dar5 yahaaN 1.devotional prostrations 2.pleasures 3.mutual 4.every day 5.walls and doors
Walls enclose, confine, keep in or keep out while doors open to welcome or open to new vistas. By god, the pleasures of prostrations of love, even contradictions like confinement and freedom meet here every day.

The architect of this eternal gathering is god and our heart is the reflection of the image of god. The maker of the mirror is also god and the mirror is the cosmos which reflects the glory of the maker. When the poet says that the maker has taken the disguise of the mirror he declares one-ness of all creation with the creator.

By flight of the heart is meant its adventure into spiritualism, its willingness to break out of the bonds of materialism. If the heart is able to do that, then it itself generates divinely inspired messages.
