For Ghalib I had to collect ash’aar from different Ghazal.

Ghalib’s original Farsi she’r is given above for reference. When did I (I never did) wish for this, O Ghalib. It is she’r itself that desired to become my talent. Ghalib implies that his versification is divinely inspired!

The original farsi she’r is given for reference in the Urdu tab. Ghalib complains of his comtemporaries – you, who are captivated by the compositions of past writers, do not be in denial of the greatness of Ghalib just because he is of the present times.
