اللہ  رے  یہ  مرتبۂ  فطرتِ  نیاز

رہتا  ہے  حسنِ  دوست  کے  زانو  پہ  سر  یہاں

ہوتا  ہے  روز  شب  کو  بیک  جنبشِ  نگاہ

ہر  سانس  پر  وجود  و  عدم  کا  سفر  یہاں

سازِ  شکستِ  روح  کے  معصوم  زیر  و  بم

بنتے  ہیں  مرگ  و  زیست  کے  زیر  و  زبر  یہاں

ہر  شے  میں  مشترک  ہے  تجلّی  جزو  و  کل

اضداد  میں  ہے  جلوۂ  شیر  و  شکر  یہاں

ڈھلتی  ہے  روز  میکدۂ  قدس  کی  شراب

چھنتا  ہے  رنگِ  شام  سے  نورِ  سحر  یہاں

اللہ  رے  سجودِ  محبت  کی  لذّتیں

آپس  میں  روز  ملتے  ہیں  دیوار  و  در  یہاں

عکسِ  رخِ  مُصوّرِ  بزمِ  ازل  ہے  دل

آئینے  کے  ہے  بھیس  میں  آئینہ  گر  یہاں

کھنچتے  ہیں  قلبِ  صاف  پہ  اِلہام  کے  نقوش

پروازِ  دل  کا  نام  ہے  پیغامبر  یہاں

شرحِ  حدیثِ  دل  ہے  بڑی  معتبر  یہاں

बारगाह-ए शे’र – साधू राम आर्ज़ू सहारनपूरी

ये बारगाह-ए शे’र है झुकते हैं सर यहां

पाते हैं दाद-ए बंदगी अहल-ए नज़र यहां

लाहूत की फ़िज़ाओं के रंगीन अक्स से

मंज़र जगाए जाते हैं शाम ओ सहर यहाँ

होते हैं तय मराहेल-ए इर्फ़ान-ए ज़िंदगी

अक़्ल-ए तमाम बनती है ख़ुद राहबर यहाँ

उढती है सू-ए मरकज़-ए बे-रंग चश्म-ए शौक़

होता है रोज़ अर्श पे दिल का गुज़र यहाँ

अल्लाह रे ये मरतबा-ए फ़ितरत-ए नियाज़

रहता है हुस्न-ए दोस्त के ज़ानू पे सर यहाँ

होता है रोज़ शब को ब-यक जुंबिश-ए निगाह

हर सांस पर वुजूद ओ आदम का सफ़र यहां

साज़-ए शिकस्त-ए रूह के मा’सूम ज़ेर ओ बम

बनते हैं मर्ग ओ ज़ीस्त के ज़ेर ओ ज़बर यहां

हर शै में मुश्तरिक है तजल्ली-ए जुज़्व ओ कुल

अज़्दाद में है जलवा-ए शीर ओ शकर यहाँ

ढलती है रोज़ मैकदा-ए क़ुद्स की शराब

छँता है रंग-ए शाम से नूर-ए सहर यहाँ

There are at least two collections of Ghazal and nazm. There is precious little by way of biographical information but it seems that he was associated with teaching (perhaps urdu) in some college in kolkata. This nazm in the format of a Ghazal, is thematic about shaa’eri and is linked to ‘suKhanvar o suKhanvari’ on the Theme Index page.

To fly towards an umarked focus is to fly into unknown, uncharted territory. That is what the eye of desire/yearning (of the poet) does. As he writes his verse every day, his heart passes by the divine throne. He can only compose by receiving divine inspiration.

rahta hai husn4-e dost5 ke zaanu6 peh sar yahaaN

Made here every day is the wine of the sanctified/spiritual tavern. The brilliance of dawn is filtered out of the darkness of night. The wine of mystic love is dispensed. Justice emerges from injustice in these gatherings.

aapas3 meN roz4 miltay haiN diivaar-o-dar5 yahaaN  
1.devotional prostrations 2.pleasures 3.mutual 4.every day 5.walls and doors
Walls enclose, confine, keep in or keep out while doors open to welcome or open to new vistas. By god, the pleasures of prostrations of love, even contradictions like confinement and freedom meet here every day.

aaiine ke hai bhes6 meN aaiina-gar7 yahaaN

The architect of this eternal gathering is god and our heart is the reflection of the image of god. The maker of the mirror is also god and the mirror is the cosmos which reflects the glory of the maker. When the poet says that the maker has taken the disguise of the mirror he declares one-ness of all creation with the creator.
