کلی  پہ  آیا  جو  بھنورا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

جو  چاند  جھیل  میں  اُترا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

شعاعِ  مہر  سے  پھولون  کے  تن  پہ  گلشن  میں

جو  قطرہ  اوس  کا  چمکا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

ادائے  ناز  سے  ساقی  کے  مدبھرے  تن  کا

عکس  پیمانے  میں  اُترا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

سنہری  شام  کی  دلہن  کے  چوڑے  ماتھے  پر

لگی  جو  چاند  کی  بندیا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

ہتھیلیوں  کو  بجاتے  لپکتے  مسکاتے

چہکتے  طفل  کو  دیکھا  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

گلوں  کا  کھلنا  نمودِ  نشاط  ہے  ساحلؔ

چمن  میں  چہکا  پرندہ  غزل  ہوئی  پیدا

ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा – राम चंद्र वरमा साहेल

कली पे आया जो भंवरा ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

जो चांद झील में उतरा ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

शो’आ-ए महर से फूलौं के तन पे गुलशन में

जो क़तरा ओस का चमका ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

अदा-ए नाज़ से साक़ी के मद-भरे तन का

अक्स पैमाने में उतरा ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

सुनहरी शाम कि दुल्हन के चौढे माथे पर

लगी जो चांद कि बिंदिया ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

हथेलियौं को बजाते लपकते मुस्काते

चहकते तिफ़्ल को देखा ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

गुलौं का खिलना नुमूद नीशात है साहेल

चमन में चहका परिंदा ग़ज़ल हुई पैदा

He did a diploma in mechanical engineering followed by a degree in telecommunications engineering from dehli university. He retired as assistant director of the department of telecommunications of the government of India. He has at least four published collections of Ghazal, nazm and rubaaii. There is no mention of how he came to urdu, perhaps his family, brought a love of urdu from their homeland of Dera Ghaazi KhaaN. This Ghazal is linked to several others that have the radeef ‘to Ghazal hoti hai’.

aks5 paimaane6 meN utra Ghazal hui paida

When the reflection of the intoxicating stature of the saaqi descends into the wine cup in teasing style, a Ghazal is born.

lagi jo chaand ki bindiya Ghazal hui paida

‘sunahri shaam’ is golden twilight and the bride is the horizon with the dark sky above like a brides hair studded with stars. When the moon makes a ‘bindiya’ on the forehead of the twilight, a Ghazal is born.

Clapping their palms, jumping, smiling, when I hear the chatter of a child, a Ghazal is born.

The blooming of roses is the appearance of a joyous scene O saahil. When birds chirp in the garden, a Ghazal is born.
