He received his BA from aligaRh after interruptions in earlier schooling. He developed close relationships with progressives and was a major force in the Progressive Writers’ Association. He lived in aligaRh, dehli and lucknow working for radio stations, editing magazines on and off but with no steady income. He met with a rather tragic end at the young age of 44. This is a fiery call for change.

Do not look for piety in rituals soaked in hyprocrisy. Look at the nature of transgression/rebellion that is the essence of piety.

Do not look for old concepts of heaven and hell. In you company (on the path of revolution) are new heavens and new hells. Create a concept of new rewards and punishments.

tu ab amir ke KhuN se sharaab paida kar 1.distilled
They have distilled wine out of the blood of worker. Now you have to re-do justice and distill wine out of the blood of capital.

uTha de rasm4-e mohabbat, azaab5 paida kar 1.palace 2.culture 3.deception 4.ritual 5.torture
Destroy this palace of culture. It is nothing but a deception. Remove/stop these rituals of romance. Create a torture (of effort for change) in its place.

‘hameN’ and ‘hamaaua’ refers to his generation. Note that he was 44 when he died and must have been younger when he wrote this. He is willing to sacrifice that generation as a retribution for what they have done. Trample us underfoot and proceed. Give us our due answer/retribution.
