تہذیب  کی  پیکر  اردو  ۔  اجئے  پانڈے  سحابؔ

ہے  مرے  ہند  کی  تہذیب  کی  پیکر  اردو

اپنی  اِس  ساجھا  وراثت  کی  ہے  دختر  اردو

اس  کے  ہر  لفظ  میں  تہذیب  کی  نورانی  ہے

لفظِ  تاباں  سے  بنی  مہرِ  مُنوّر  اردو

ملک  میرے،  کبھی  محسوس  کیا  ہے  تو  نے

تیری  گفتار  میں  آ  جاتی  ہے  اکثر  اردو

میرؔ  و  غالبؔ  ہوں  یا  ساحرؔ  سا  فسوں  گر  تیرا

تو  نے  ہم  کو  دئے  ممتاز  سخنور  اردو

تیرے  شیدائی  ہیں  پھولوں  سے  تجھے  ڈھک  لیں  گے

تجھ  پہ  آئیں  گے  سیاست  کے  جو  پتّھر  اردو

ہند  کی  خاک  کا  ہر  رنگ  ملا  ہے  تجھ  میں

ساری  ندیوں  سے  بنی  ہے  تو  سمندر  اردو

مجھ  کو  اب  صرف  اسی  دن  کی  تمنا  ہے  سحابؔ

بولی  جائے  گی  مرے  ملک  میں  گھر  گھر  اردو

इस के हर लफ़्ज़ में तहज़ीब की नूरानी है

लफ़्ज़-ए ताबाँ से बनी महर-ए मुनव्वर उर्दू

मुल्क मेरे! कभी महसूस किया है तू ने

तेरी गुफ़्तार में आ जाती है अक्सर उर्दू

मीर ओ ग़ालिब हों या साहेर सा फ़ुसूंगर तेरा

तू ने हम को दिये मुम्ताज़ सुख़नवर उर्दू

तेरे शैदाई हैं, फूलों से तुझे ढक लेंगे

तुझ पे आएँगे सियासत के जो पत्थर उर्दू

हिन्द की ख़ाक का हर रंग मिला है तुझ में

सारी नदियों से बनी है तू समुंदर उर्दू

मुझ को अब सिर्फ़ उसी दिन की तमन्ना है सहाब

बोली जाएगी मेरे मुल्क में घर घर उर्दू
