عیسیٰ نے محبت کی سولی پہ بِنا ڈالی

نخلِ غم و حرماں کی ہر شاخ جھکا ڈالی

جو زعم کے پیکر تھے وہ مِل گئے مِٹّی میں

ہر بندۂ بیکس کی تقدیر بنا ڈالی

کس لئے، کس کے لئے، کس نے اُٹھائیں ذِلّتیں

دار کی تصویر یہ ہے، دل کو تو سمجھا کے دیکھ

کلوری پر موت کی کس نے اُڑائیں دھجّیاں

دارِ عیسیٰ کی حقیقت، اُس کے در پہ آ کے دیکھ

روشنی پاتی ہیں آنکھیں، دل کو ملتا ہے سکوں

مالکِ ارض و سما کے گیت دلکش گا کے دیکھ

 

طُرفہ کرامت

 

فردوس سِمٹ آیا گلزارِ مسیحا میں

اک طرفہ کرامت ہے دیدارِ مسیحا میں

کچھ اُس کی محبّت میں، پنہاں ہے کشش ایسی

ابلیس بھی جھکتا ہے دربارِ مسیحا میں

 

نیا سویرا

 

جو ظلم کے تھے بانی، دل اُن کے ہل گئے ہیں

منصوبے عاصیوں کے مِٹّی میں مل گئے ہیں

مریم نے جب پکارا زندہ ہے جانِ عالم

پژمردہ ہو گئے تھے جو دل وہ کھِل گئے ہیں

کس نے تجلّیوں کو، ظلمت میں آ بکھیرا

خوشیوں کو لے کے اُبھرا، دیکھو نیا سویرا

پارہ پارہ ہے کفن بے ہوش پہرے دار ہیں

غُل ہے دنیا میں کہ میرِ کارواں زندہ ہوا

کہہ رہی ہے پے بہ پے مریم بہ آوازِ بلند

لے مرے فرہاد تیرا پاسباں زندہ ہوا

ईसा ने मोहब्बत की सूली पे बिना डाली

नख़्ल-ए ग़म ओ हिर्मां कि हर शाख़ झुका डाली

जो ज़ो’म के पैकर थे वो मिल गए मिट्टि में

हर बंदा-ए बेकस कि तक़्दीर बना डाली

 

तस्वीर-ए दार

 

किस लिए, किस के लिए, किस ने उठाईं ज़िल्लतें

दार की तस्वीर ये है, दिल को तू समझा के देख

कल्वरी पर मौत की किस ने उड़ाईं धज्जियां

दार-ए ईसा की हक़ीक़त, उस के दर पे आ के देख

रौशनी पाती हैं आंखें, दिल को मिलता है सुकून

मालिक-ए अर्ज़ ओ समा के गीत दिलकश गा के देख

 

तुर्फ़ा करामत

 

फ़िरदौस सिमट आया गुल्ज़ार-ए मसीहा में

एक तुर्फ़ा करामत है दीदार-ए मसीहा में

कुछ उस की मोहब्बत में, पिन्हां है कशिश ऐसी

इब्लीस भी झुकता है दरबार-ए मसीहा में

 

नया सवेरा

 

जो ज़ुल्म के थे बानी, दिल उन के हिल गए हैं

मन्सूबे आसियौं के मिट्टि में मिल गए हैं

मरियम ने जब पुकारा ज़िंदा है जान-ए आलम

पज़्शमुर्दा हो गए थे जो दिल वो खिल गए हैं

किस ने तजल्लियौं को, ज़ुल्मत में आ बखेरा

ख़ुशियौं को ले के उभरा, देखो नया सवेरा

 

मुज़्श्दा

 

पारा पारा है कफ़न बे होश पहरे-दार हैं

ग़ुल है दुनिया में के मीर-ए कार्वां ज़िंदा हुआ

कह रही है पै-बा-पै मरियम बा आवाज़-ए बुलंद

ले मेरे फ़रहाद तेरा पास्बां ज़िंदा हुआ

har banda-e bekas8 ki taqdeer bana Daali

Jesus laid the foundation of Love on the cross. He cut off the limbs of the tree of sorrow and despondence. They who were the picture of pride and hubris were laid into the dust. The fate of every helpless creature became hopeful.

tasveer-e daar – Crucifixion

kis liye, kis ke liye, kis ne uThaaiiN zillateN1
daar2 ki tasveer ye hai, dil ko tu samjha ke dekh
kalvari3 par maut ki kis ne uRaaiN dhajjiyaaN
daar2-e eesa ki haqeeqat4, us ke dar5 pe aa ke dekh
raushni paati haiN aaNkheN, dil ko milta hai sukoon6
maalik-e arz-o-sama7 ke geet dilkash8 ga ke dekh

kuchh us ki mohabbat meN, pinhaaN6 hai kashish7 aisi
iblees8 bhi jhukta hai darbaar-e masiiha meN   
1.heaven 2.gathered, fit into 3.enchanting 4.miracle 5.sight, seeing, manifestation 6.hidden 7.attraction 8.satan
Heaven is gathered into the garden of the Saviour. There is an enchanting miraculous effect in his manifestation. There is such an attraction hidden in his love that even Satan bows down in his court.

naya savera – Resurrection

jo zulm1 ke the baani2, dil un ke hil gaye haiN
mansoobe3 ‘aasiyauN4 ke miTTi meN mil gaye haiN
mariam ne jab pukaara zinda hai jaan-e-aalam5
pazshmurda6 ho gaye the jo dil vo khil gaye haiN
kis ne tajalliyoN7 ko, zulmat8 meN aa bakhera9
KhushiyauN ko le ke ubhra10, dekho naya savera   
1.cruelty 2.instigatores, perpetrators 3.schemes, conspiracies 4.sinners 5.beloved of the world 6.wilted 7.light 8.darkness 9.scatter 10.emerge
The perpetrators of cruelty are trembling in fear. The schemes of sinners have come to naught. When Mary gave the call that the beloved of world was alive, wilted hearts blossomed again. Who was it that scattered rays of light into darkness. Look a new dawn of joy has emerged.

Ghul hai duniya meN ke mir-e-kaarvaaN4 zinda hua
kah rahi hai pai-ba-pai5 mariam ba aavaaz-e-buland6
le merey farhaad7 tera paasbaaN8 zinda hua
1.shreds 2.shroud 3.fainted 4.leader of the caravan (of life) 5.again and again 6.loud/clear voice 7.pen name of poet 8.protector
Biblical story/belief is that guards were stationed around the corpse of Jesus (to make sure that he was dead???). But miraculously he rose from the dead, the burial shround was torn to shreds and the guards fainted. Mary is calling again and again in a clear voice … O, farhaad, your protector is living.
