جِن پر میرا دِل دھڑکا تھا، وہ سب باتیں دہراتے ہو

وہ جانے کیسی لڑکی ہے، تم اب جس کے گھر جاتے ہو

مجھ سے کہتے تھے بن کاجل، اچھی لگتی ہیں مری آنکھیں

تم اب جس کے گھر جاتے ہو، کیسی ہونگی اُس کی آنکھیں

تنہائی میں چپکے چپکے نازک سپنے بُنتی ہوگی

تم اب جس کے گھر جاتے ہو، کیا وہ مجھ سے اچھی ہوگی

مجھ کو تم سے کیا دلچسپی، میں اِک اِک کو سمجھاتی ہوں

یاد بہت آتے ہو جب تم، یوں جھوٹوں دِل بہلاتی ہوں

اِک دِن ایسا بھی آئے گا، مجھ کو پاس نہیں پاؤگے

یاد آؤں گی، یاد آؤں گی، پچھتاؤگے، پچھتاؤگے

لیکن میں دکھ درد سمیٹے اِن گلیوں میں کھو جاؤں گی

لاکھ مجھے ڈھونڈوگے لیکن، ہاتھ تمہارے کیا آؤں گی

जिन पर मेरा दिल धढका था, वो सब बातें दोहराते हो

वो जाने कैसी लढकी है, तुम अब जिस के घर जाते हो

मुझ से कहते थे बिन काजल, अछी लगती हैं मेरि आंखें

तुम अब जिस के घर जाते हो, कैसी होंगी उस की आंखें

तन्हाई में चुपके चुपके नाज़ुक सपने बुनती होगी

तुम अब जिस के घर जाते हो, क्या वो मुझ से अच्छी होगी

मुझ को तुम से क्या दिल्चस्पी, मैं एक एक को समझाती हूं

याद बहुत आते हो जब तुम, यूं झूटौं दिल बहलाती हूं

एक दिन ऐसा भी आएगा, मुझ को पास नहीं पाओगे

याद आऊंगी, याद आऊंगी, पछ्ताओगे, पछ्ताओगे

लैकिम मैं दुख दर्द समेटे, इन गलियौं में खो जाऊंगी

लाख मुझे ढूंडोगे लैकिन, हाथ तुम्हारे क्या आऊंगी

laakh mujhe DhooNDoge laikin, haath tumhaare kya aauNgi     
But I will gather my pain and sorrow and disappear in these streets. You will search for me up and down but will not be able to find me.
