سناتی پھرتی ہیں آنکھیں کہانیاں کیا کیا
اب اور کیا کہیں کس کس کو سوگوار کریں

اُٹھو کہ فرصتِ دیوانگی غنیمت ہے

Why give up the fragrance of the beloved’s robe. Let us hold it to our heart, let us love it i.e., why give up on the demands for social justice even if there is oppression. Let us continue to hold it close to our hearts and let us keep demanding justice.

ab aur kya kaheN kis kis ko sogvaar9 kareN 9.sorrowful
Our eyes tell such sorrowful tales. Why say anything more, why make everyone sorrowful.

uTho ke fursat10-e divaanagi11 Ghanimat12 hai
qafas13 ko le ke uReN gul ko ham-kinaar14 kareN 10.liesure 11.madness, passion 12.acquired loot, available 13.cage 14.embrace
In urdu poetic tradition the poet often portrays himself as a caged bird. Here, he and his comrades are all caged in the same cage of oppression. Let us go that this chance of exercising our passion/madness is enough. Together we can fly carrying the cage and embrace the beloved.
