dil magar kam kisi se milta ha People meet people, but seldom do hearts connect. It seems like all our associations/relationships are superficial/formal.

vo kuchh is saadagi2 se milta hai 1.cruelties 2.simplicity, innocence
I forget all her (the beloved’s) cruelties. She acts so innocent (unaware of past cruelties) when she meets.

aaj kya baat hai ke phoolauN ka
raNg1 teri haNsi se milta ha 1.style
There is something unusual today, that blooming flowers look as if she (the beloved) is smiling.

silsila1 fitna-e qayamat2 ka
teri Khush-qaamati3 se milta ha 1.connection 2.mischief of the calamity/torture of doomsday 3.beautiful stature
She is so beautiful, her stature slender and tall, and she inflicts such torture on the lover/poet that he thinks that there is a direct connection between her stature and doomsday.

mil ke bhi jo kabhi nahiN milta
TooT kar dil usi se milta ha The beloved meets the poet with disdain, without really connecting with him. His heart is broken, yet it goes back to her.

kaarobaar-e jahaaN1 saNvarte2 haiN
hosh jab be-Khudi3 se milta ha 1.affairs of the world 2.become embellished, beautiful 3.loss of awareness, intoxication, trance
This could be interpreted in the Sufi sense of “intoxicated with the wine of love”. It is only when you are drunk with the wine of love that the affairs of the world become beautiful/meaningful.

rooh ko bhi maza mohabbat ka
dil ki ham-saa’egi1 se milta hai 1.neighbourhood, close by
The soul too gets the pleasure of love only when hearts get closer together.
