दिल मगर कम किसी से मिलता है

भूल जाता हूं मैं सितम उस के

वो कुछ इस सादगी से मिलता है

आज क्या बात है के फूलों का

रंग तेरी हँसी से मिलता है

सिलसिला फ़ितना-ए क़यामत का

तेरी ख़ुश-क़ामति से मिलता है

मिल के भी जो कभी नहीं मिलता

टूट कर दिल उसी से मिलता है

कारोबार-ए जहां संवरते हैं

होश जब बे-ख़ुदी से मिलता है

रूह को भी मज़ा मोहब्बत का

दिल की हम-साएगी से मिलता है

dil magar kam kisi se milta ha
People meet people, but seldom do hearts connect. It seems like all our associations/relationships are superficial/formal.

bhool jaata huN maiN sitam1 us ke
vo kuchh is saadagi2 se milta hai

I forget all her (the beloved’s) cruelties. She acts so innocent (unaware of past cruelties) when she meets.

There is something unusual today, that blooming flowers look as if she (the beloved) is smiling.

She is so beautiful, her stature slender and tall, and she inflicts such torture on the lover/poet that he thinks that there is a direct connection between her stature and doomsday.

The beloved meets the poet with disdain, without really connecting with him. His heart is broken, yet it goes back to her.

hosh jab be-Khudi3 se milta ha  
1.affairs of the world 2.become embellished, beautiful 3.loss of awareness, intoxication, trance
This could be interpreted in the Sufi sense of “intoxicated with the wine of love”. It is only when you are drunk with the wine of love that the affairs of the world become beautiful/meaningful.
