گلاب کی کلیوں میں مسکراتے ہیں

کہیں ہُجُوم میں بچوں کے پائے جاتے ہیں

نظر سے چھپ کے بھی وہ دل کے پاس رہتے ہیں

میں تم سے دور نہیں ہوں وہ ہم سے کہتے ہیں

وہ چاچا نہرو جو بچوں سے پیار کرتے تھے

نئے زمانے کا جو انتظار کرتے تھے

نیا زمانہ جو دنیا کو روشنی بخشے

ہر آدمی کو نئی ایک زندگی بخشے

وہ جس میں امن و محبت کا بول بالا ہو

چراغِ عِلم سے ہر سَمت اِک اُجالا ہو

امیر جس میں نہ چوسیں لہو غریبوں کا

نصیب جس میں چمک جائے بد نصیبوں کا

ہم اُن کے خواب حقیقت بنا کے چھوڑیں گے

کہ چاچا نہرو سے رشتہ کبھی نہ توڑیں گے

कहीं गुलाब की कलियों में मुस्कुराते हैं

कहीं हुजूम में बच्चों के पाए जाते हैं

नज़र से छुप के भी वो दिल के पास रहते हैं

मैं तुम से दूर नहीं हूँ वो हम से कहते हैं

वो चाचा नेहरू जो बच्चों से प्यार करते थे

नए ज़माने का जो इंतेज़ार करते थे

नया ज़माना जो दुनिया को रौशनी बख़्शे

हर आदमी को नई एक ज़िंदगी बख़्शे

वो जिस में अम्न-ओ-मुहब्बत का बोल बाला हो

चराग़-ए-इल्म से हर सम्त एक उजाला हो

अमीर जिस में न चूसें लहू ग़रीबों का

नसीब जिस में चमक जाए बद-नसीबों का

हम उन के ख़्वाब हक़ीक़त बना के छोड़ेंगे

के चाचा नेहरू से रिश्ता कभी न तोड़ेंगे
