گزر گیا ۔ فانی بدایونی
وہ جی گیا جو عشق میں جی سے گزر گیا
عیسیٰ کو ہو نوید كہ بیمار مر گیا
آزاد کچھ ہوئے ہیں اسیرانِ زندگی
یعنی جمالِ یار کا صدقہ اُتَر گیا
دُنیا میں حالِ آمد و رفتِ بشر نہ پوچھ
بے اختیار آ كے رہا ، بے خبر گیا
شاید كہ شامِ ہجر كے مارے بھی جی اُٹھے
صبحِ بہارِ حشر کا چہرہ اُتَر گیا
آیا ، كہ دِل گیا ، کوئی پوچھے تو کیا کہوں
یہ جانتا ہوں دِل اِدھر آیا اُدھر گیا
میں نے دیا كہ تم نے لیا دِل تمہیں کہو
تم دِل میں پہلے آئے كہ دِل پیشتر گیا
ہاں سچ تو ہے شکایتِ زخمِ جگر غلط
دِل سے گزر كے تیر تمہارا کدھر گیا
دِل کا علاج کیجیے اب یا نہ کیجیے
اپنا جو کام تھا وہ غمِ یار کر گیا
کیا کہیے اپنی گرم رویہائے شوق کو
کچھ دور میرے ساتھ میرا راہ بر گیا
فانی کی ذات سے غمِ ہستی کی تھی نمود
شیرازہ آج دفترِ غم کا بکھر گیا

वो जी गया जो इश्क़ में जी से गुज़र गया
ईसा को हो नवीद के बीमार मर गया
आज़ाद कुछ हुए हैं असीरान-ए ज़िंदगी
यानी जमाल-ए यार का सदक़ा उतर गया
दुनिया में हाल-ए आमद ओ रफ़्त-ए बशर ना पूछ
बे-ऐख़्तियार आ के रहा, बे-ख़बर गया
शाएद के शाम-ए हिजर के मारे भी जी उठे
सुबह-ए बहार-ए हश्र का चेहरा उतर गया
आया, के दिल गया, कोइ पूछे तो क्या कहूं
ये जानता हुं दिल इधर आया उधर गया
मैं ने दिया के तुम ने लिया दिल तुम ही कहो
तुम दिल में पहले आए के दिल पेश्तर गया
हां सच तो है शिकायत-ए ज़ख़्म-ए जिगर ग़लत
दिल से गुज़र के तीर तुम्हारा किधर गया
दिल का इलाज किजीए अब या ना किजीए
अपना जो काम था वो ग़म-ए यार कर गया
क्या कहिए अपनी गर्म रवि-हा-ए शौक़ को
कुछ दूर मेरे साथ मेरा राहबर गया
फ़ानी की ज़ात से ग़म-ए हस्ती की थी नमूद
शीराज़ा आज दफ़्तर-ए ग़म का बिखर गया

Do not ask about the coming and going of man on this earth. He comes without volition and leaves against his wish. Reminds me of ibrahim zauq

apni Khushi na aaye, na apni Khushi chalay

The lovers who die of longing and love during nights of separation carry their secrets with them. They are afraid of maligning the beloved. But on judgement day everyone will be raised from the dead and will have to tell their story. That is why the morning of judgement day is crestfallen, it is afraid that stories of broken promises and pain inflicted by the beloved will come out.

ye jaanta huN dil idhar aaya udhar gayaThe poet/lover is completely distraught and lost. He is not aware of how he lost his heart.
maiN ne diya ke tum ne liya dil tumhiN kaho

This continues the theme of being totally lost. He is asking the beloved to say (perhaps she remembers) whether she came into his heart first or whether he lost his heart earlier.

Convention is that with the arrows of the beloved both the heart and the liver (seats of life and of emotions) are wounded. But once the arrow has pierced the heart the poet/lover is no longer aware of anything. He is totally lost in love. So much so that he cannot say if the arrow then wounded his liver. Therefore he has no basis to complain of the wound of the liver.
