جشِ آزادی – قتیل شفائی

مینہ برستا ہے تو دھرتی کی نظر جھومتی ہے
پھول کھلتے ہیں تو گلشن پہ نکھار آتا ہے
لیکن اے جشن بہاراں کے نۓ منتظمو
خود فر یبی سے کہیں دل کو قرار آتا ہے

تم اگر جشن بہاراں بھی کہو گے اسکو
موت کے گھاٹ یہ دھوکہ بھی اتر جاۓ گا
بادِ صرصر کو اگر تم نے کہا موج نسیم
اس سے موسم میں کوئی فرق نہیں آۓ گا

یہ گلستاں، یہ گلستاں میں سسکتے غنچے
اپنے اعمال کے پردے میں انہیں ڈھانپ تو لو
اقتدار آج بھی سرگرم سفر ہے لیکن
بے نواؤں کے اِرادوں کو ذرا بھانپ تو لو

آج انسان کی عظمت نے کیا ہے اعلان
خود فریبی سے کوئی جی کو نہ بہلاۓ گا
جب تک آرائش گلزار نہیں ہو جاتی
کسی کونپل کسی غنچے کو نہ چین آۓ گا

لیکن اۓ جشن بہاراں کے نۓ منتظمو
یہ تماشا ہمیں بے کار نظر آتا ہے

फूल खिलते हैं तो गुलशन पे निखार आता है
लेकिन अए जश्न ए बहाराँ के नए मुन्तज़िमो
ख़ुद फ़रेबी से कहीं दिल को क़रार आता है

तुम अगर जश्न ए बहाराँ भी कहोगे इस को
मौत के घाट ये धोका भी उतर आएगा
बाद ए सर सर को अगर तुम ने कहा मौज ए नसीम
इस से मौसम में कोई फ़र्क़ नहीं आएगा

ये गुलिस्तां, ये गुलिस्तां के सिसकते ग़ुंचे
अपने आमाल के परदे में इन्हें ढांप तो लो
इक़्तेदार आज भी सरगर्म ए सफ़र है लैकिन
बे नवाऔं के इरादों को ज़रा भांप तो लो

आज इंसान की अज़मत ने किया है ऐलान
ख़ुद फरेबी से कोई जी को न बहलाएगा
जब तक आराइश ए गुलज़ार नहीं हो जाती
किसी कोंपल किसी ग़ुंचे को न चैन आएगा

लेकिन अए जश्न ए बहाराँ के नए मुन्तज़िमो
ये तमाशा हमें बेकार नज़र आता है
मेंह बरस्ता है न धरती की नज़र झूमती है
फूल खिलते हैं न गुलशन पे निखार आता है

If you call this a celebration of spring
This deception too will be exposed and die
If you call a wintry storm a pleasant breeze
The weather will certainly not change

This garden and its sobbing, wilted blooms
Offer them a protective cover with your actions
Surely, Power is active, parading itself
