خواہ مخواہ وہ بھی تخلّص پہ مرے ہنستے ہیں

خواہ مخواہ بس وہی ہنسنے سے کرے گا پرہیز

قبض ہے جس کو یا جُلاب لیا ہے جِس نے

مجھے تو لوگ سمجھتے ہیں خواہ مخواہ شاعر

میں دیکھنے میں تو شاعر نظر نہیں آتا

جو روپ ہے میں کیوں نہ اُسی روپ میں نکلوں

میں خواہ مخواہ کِس لئے بہروپ میں نکلوں

لوگوں کے پاس وقت کہاں ہے کہ خواہ مخواہ

تجھ کو وہ توجہ سے سُنیں اور ہنسیں بھی

میری سُنتا ہی نہیں اپنی ہی کہے جاتا ہے

خواہ مخواہ اب نہیں آؤنگا تیری باتوں میں

کوئی جب تک یہ نہ پوچھے منہ میں کِتّے دانت ہیں

منہ کو اُس وقت تک خواہ مخواہ نئیں کھولنا

تم لوگوں کو میرے جیسا کون ہنساتئے میں بھی دیکھتؤں

خواہ مخواہ کی محنت ہے یہ شعراں لکھ کو کیا فئدہ

तब आया ग़ैब से ये तख़ल्लुस ख़याल में

सुन के कुछ अश’आर मेरे ख़्वाह मख़्वाह हँसते हैं लोग

है करम अल्लाह का मैं क्या मेरी ख़िदमात क्या

एक फ़ीसद भी नहीं सेन्स ऑफ़ ह्यूमर जिन में

ख़्वाह मख़्वाह वो भी तख़ल्लुस पे मेरे हँसते हैं

ख़्वाह मख़्वाह बस वही हंसने से करेगा परहेज़

क़ब्ज़ है जिस को या जुल्लाब लिया है जिस ने

मुझे तो लोग समझते हैं ख़्वाह मख़्वाह शाएर

मैं देखने में तो शाएर नज़र नहीं आता

जो रूप है मैं क्यूं न उसी रूप में निकलूं

मैं ख़्वाह मख़्वाह किस लिए बहरूप में निकलूँ

लोगों के पास वक़्त कहां है के ख़्वाह मख़्वाह

तुझ को वो तवज्जोह से सुनें और हंसें भी

मेरी सुनता नहीं अपनी ही कहे जाता है

ख़्वाह मख़्वाह अब नहीं आऊँगा तेरी बातों में

कोई जब तक ये न पूछे मुंह में कित्ते दांत हैं

मुंह को उस वक़्त तक ख़्वाह मख़्वाह नईं खोलना

तुम लोगों कु मेरे जैसा कौन हन्सातै मैं भी देखतौं

तेरे बातां कौन सुनिंगा किस कु इत्ती फ़ुर्सत है

ख़्वाह मख़्वाह कि मेहनत है ये शे’रां लिख को क्या फ़ैदा
