اپنا  خورشید  اور  اپنا  ہی  قمر  پیدا  کر

تو  محبت  کا  شجر  ہے  تو  ثمر  پیدا  کر

ہر  بشر  تجھ  کو  نظر  آنے  لگے  اپنی  طرح

اپنے  اندر  تو  وہ  ہی  قلب  و  نظر  پیدا  کر

یہ  تو  ممکن  ہی  نہیں  ہے  وہ  نہ  چاہے  تجھ  کو

ہاں  مگر  اس  کے  لئے  تو  بھی  جگر  پیدا  کر

منتظر  ہوگا  ترے  واسطے  ساحلؔ  اے  دوست

پہلے  طوفان  سے  لڑنے  کا  ہنر  پیدا  کر

تیری  آہیں  بھی  پہنچ  جائیں  گی  رب  تک  اک  دن

آہوں  میں  اپنی  وہ  دل  دوز  اثر  پیدا  کر

رات  تاریک  اگر  ہے  تو  تجھے  ڈر  کیا  ہے

داغ  دل  اپنے  جلا  اور  سحر  پیدا  کر

تو  بھی  ہو  جائے  گا  محبوبِ  زمانہ  ساحلؔ

اپنے  اندر  وہ  محبت  کی  نظر  پیدا  کر

तू मोहब्बत का शजर है तो समर पैदा कर

हर बशर तुझ को नज़र आने लगे अपनी तरह

अपने अंदर तू वो ही क़ल्ब-ओ-नज़र पैदा कर

ये तो मुमकिन ही नहीं है वो न चाहे तुझ को

हाँ मगर उस के लिए तू भी जिगर पैदा कर

मुंतज़िर होगा तिरे वास्ते साहेल ऐ दोस्त

पहले तूफ़ान से लढने का हुनर पैदा कर

तेरी आहें भी पहुँच जाएँगी रब तक एक दिन

आहों में अपनी वो दिल-दोज़ असर पैदा कर

रात तारीक अगर है तो तुझे डर क्या है

दाग़-ए दिल अपने जला और सहर पैदा कर

तू भी हो जाएगा महबूब-ए ज़माना साहेल

अपने अंदर वो मोहब्बत की नज़र पैदा कर

tu mohabbat ka shajar3 hai to samar4 paida kar

This is either a challenge or an exhortation. Create your own sun and moon. If you are tree than make your own fruit. Thus, do not rely on fate.

apne andar tu vo hi qalb4-o-nazar5 paida kar

So that every person may appear to you like yourself i.e., same as or equal to you, develop in yourselves heart and sight like that (that does not discriminate).

haaN magar us ke liye tu bhi jigar3 paida kar

Develop a heart/lover for the other because it is not possible that the other will not reciprocate your love.
