یاد آتے ہیں ۔ حسرت موہانی

 

بھلاتا لاکھ ہوں لیکن برابر یاد آتے ہیں

الٰہی ترکِ اُلفت پر وہ کیونکر یاد آتے ہیں

شرابِ بے خودی کے مجھ کو ساغر یاد آتے ہیں

 

رہا کرتے ہیں قیدِ ہوش میں اے وائے ناکامی

وہ دشتِ خود فراموشی کے چکّر یاد آتے ہیں

 

نہیں آتی تو یاد اُن کی مہینوں تک نہیں آتی

مگر جب یاد آتے ہیں تو اکثر یاد آتے ہیں

 

حقیقت کھُل گئی حسرتؔ ترے ترکِ محبت کی

تجھے تو اب وہ پہلے سے بھی بڑھ کر یاد آتے ہیں

भुलाता लाख हूँ लैकिन बराबर याद आते हैं

इलाही तर्क-ए उल्फ़त पर वो क्यूँकर याद आते हैं

 

न छेड़ ऐ हम-नशीं कैफ़ियत-ए सहबा के अफ़्साने

शराब-ए बे-ख़ुदी के मुझ को साग़र याद आते हैं

 

रहा करते हैं क़ैद-ए होश में ऐ वाए-नाकामी

वो दश्त-ए ख़ुद-फ़रामोशी के चक्कर याद आते हैं

 

नहीं आती तो याद उन की महीनों तक नहीं आती

मगर जब याद आते हैं तो अक्सर याद आते हैं

 

हक़ीक़त खुल गई हसरत तेरे तर्क-ए मोहब्बत की

तुझे तो अब वो पहले से भी बढ़ कर याद आते हैं
