In the gathering/society, there is darkness/ignorance. He wants to recite the kind of Ghazal that can spread light/knowledge in this atmosphere of darkness, like a candle.

In this Ghazal, the phrase ‘kar Ghazal kaheN’ is the radeef/refrain and is repeated exactly in every she’r. The words preceding the radeef are aa, miTa, bana, dikha. The sound ‘aa’ is common to all and is the qaafiya. Thus, qaafiya/qafaafi are like rest stops towards the goal/end, and radeef is the goal.
