جہانِ شوق کو پھر سے جواں بنانا ہے

نئی زمین نیا آسماں بنانا ہے

یہ رسم و راہِ محبّت نہیں نہ ہو لیکن

نئی جبیں کو نیا آستاں بنانا ہے

جمی ہوئی ہے ابھی جن پہ گردِ مایوسی

اُنہیں لبوں کو تبّسم فشاں بنانا ہے

پیام دے کے مہکتی ہوئی بہارؤں کا

خزاں زدوں کو حریفِ خزاں بنانا ہے

اُبھرنے والا ہے دھندلے اُفق کے کونے سے

وہ ایک لمحہ جسے جاوداں بنانا ہے

شعور سرد ہے ماحول کا جبھی تو ہمیں

ہر ایک شعر کو برقِ تپاں بنانا ہے

जहान-ए शौक़ को फिर से जवां बनाना है

नई ज़मीन नया आस्मां बनाना है

ये रस्म ओ राह-ए मोहब्बत न हो नहीं लैकिन

नई जबीं को नया आस्तां बनाना है

जमी हुई है अभी जिन पे गर्द-ए मायूसी

उन्हीं लबौं को तबस्सुम फ़िशां बनाना है

पयाम दे के महक्ती हुई बहारौं का

ख़िज़ां ज़दौं को हरीफ़-ए ख़िज़ां बनाना है

उभरने वाला है धुंदले उफ़क़ के कोने से

वो एक लम्हा जिसे जावदां बनाना है

श’ऊर सर्द है माहौल का तभी तो हमें

हर एक शेर को बर्क़-ए तपां बनाना है

jahaan-e-shauq1 ko phir se javaaN banaana hai
nayii zamin nayaa aasmaaN banaana hai   
1.world of desire
The poet/revolutionary is probably setting a task for fellow poets. We have to renew/rejuvenate the world of desire (romantic poetry). We have to build/create a new earth and a new sky (for this world of romance).

ye rasm1 o raah2-e mohabbat na ho nahiN laikin
nayii jabiN3 ko naya aastaaN4 banaana hai    
1.tradition 2.path 3.forehead 4.threshold
The old tradition was that the forehead of the poet/lover was bowed down at the threshold of the beloved. The rejuvenated world of desire will have a new tradition which may be different from the tradition and path of love. That is all right. We have to build a new threshold (socialist world order) for the new forehead of the poet/revolutionary.

jami hui hai abhi jin pe gard-e maayoosi1
unhiN laboN2 ko tabassum3 fishaaN4 banaana hai    
1.disappointment, hopelessness 2.lips 3.smile 4.scattering
The dust of disappointment is settled on those lips (of the deprived masses). We have to get those very lips to scatter smiles (joy) all around.

payaam1 de ke mahakti2 hui bahaaroN ka
KhizaaN-zadoN3 ko hariif4-e KhizaaN5 banaana hai    
1.message 2.fragrant 3.stricken by drought/deprivation 4.equal to, able to withstand 5.drought, deprivation
Giving a message (of the coming) of fragrant spring, we have to make the deprived strong enough to withstand/face down deprivation.

ubharne1 vaala hai dhundle2 ufaq3 ke kone se
vo ek lamha4 jise jaavedaaN5 banaana hai    
1.emerge, rise 2.faint 3.horizon 4.moment 5.eternal
From the corner of the faint horizon that moment is about to emerge, which we have to preserve for eternity.

sha’oor1 sard2 hai maahaul3 ka tabhi to hameN
har ek she’r ko barq4-e tapaaN5 banaana hai   
1.consciousness, awareness 2.cold 3.surroundings, conditions 4.lightning 5.hot, burning
Conditions are such that people’s awareness of their rights is cold/not passionate. That is why we have to write fiery verse like lightning strikes.
